Current exhibition highlight: 'Minecraft Experience: Village Rescue'
Dive into the blocktastic world of Minecraft starting May 28, 2026! Now available for the first time as an interactive live experience in Germany.
With Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue, an immersive adventure unfolds at OBEX | Oberhausen, taking you on an action-packed rescue mission.
In an approximately one-hour quest through detailed biomes, you’ll become heroes of the Overworld. Using ingenuity, teamwork, and the glowing Orb of Interaction, you’ll need to collect resources, complete tasks, build structures, and battle familiar mobs to rescue the villagers in time. Encounters with Creepers, Skeletons, Spiders, and Iron Golems turn the adventure into a true Minecraft experience – in real life.
State-of-the-art technology, interactive gameplay elements, and a story-based mission come together to create an immersive experience for all ages. Whether as a family, with friends, or as a longtime Minecraft fan: Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue combines creativity, discovery, and teamwork into a special adventure that lets you experience Minecraft in a whole new way.
As a special reward, all participants will receive a code for a highly sought after exclusive digital Minecraft Experience half Zombie, half Villager cape that can be redeemed in Bedrock and Java editions of the game upon successful completion of their mission.
